Worst StarFox Game Ever Worst StarFox Game Ever

At Least He's Honest

Dunno why anyone's complaining. He said it was a bad game, and it is. The art and music is decent, at least, and he did say that that's what he focused on.

Scripting wasn't horrible, in fact it was better than a lot of stuff I've seen submitted here over the years, even recently. Only thing I'd change would be the projectiles Andross fires - make it so they're destructible.
Oh, yeah, and levels. I guess. If you want to.

So yeah, not a great game, but the scripting wasn't as bad as I think you think it was going to be, and the art and music were somewhere between okay and good.
Also, like firefyte said, if you really do want to make a game, but don't want to bother with the scripting yourself, try to find someone to work with.

Good Animation, Jokes Died Off

Yeah, I already expected nice animation out of ya, seen plenty of your stuff :p

Sound was clean and audible, as it should be.

I like the concept, especially after having tried a couple of cases in Noire.

Gotta agree with others, though. The jokes just kinda started to die starting with that watermelon one.
You started out really strong, but they kinda just faded, and that last one... okay, after thinking about it, you were probably going for that 'forced joke' feel, so I get that one. But the Watermelon and Yella ones were just..... eeehhhhh.

Always good to see something from you. Keep up the good work!

Good Job

#1: Started slowing down at level 12 and steadily got worse, started seeing lag at 26 and steadily got worse.

#2: I'd say around 45/46, though I played up until level 53, and the lag + slow down there was just horrendous.

#3: No other bugs that I noticed.

I'd say it needs a 'Quality' button. Unless it auto adjusts. But even then, a button would be nice.

Good mini game, hope you do well on your next one :)

Surprisingly Addicting

This game really surprised me with how addicting it can be O.o

About the only thing I didn't like was that it was sometimes hard to judge when to hit the spacebar, and I wound up just mashing it like crazy >.<
Oh, and that one part with the Vuvuzela.

Ninja Boss

Awesome game. It's a nice way to kill some time.

The skill trees are great. For what the game is, I'd only suggest increasing the amount of SP gained by 1 every 10, MAYBE 5 levels.

I love the towers. Personally, I would have liked one or two more tower types, but that's just me.

For the people griping about the Ninjas as Bosses: YES, they are hard. The final stage is really the only one that should give you trouble, though, if you know how to handle them. What you need to do is get your mana pool up to it's max capacity, decrease the Meteor spell's cost, and increase the Meteor spell's damage. Since you know when the boss will appear, save up to your max cap for that wave. When he appears, hold SHIFT and nuke him with the fireball spell as much as you can, which is 5 times. I would also suggest letting a maxed-out AoE Temple or a Fear-inducing Crypt hit him before you do so, either of which should stall him.

Herbert = Auto-win

ANYWAYS.

In all seriousness, nice job on the animation, and nice job on the voice work. And you say you could do better? I'd love to see that, seeing how nice this flash is already.

Nice, but...

... the screen is too far zoomed in. Can't tell what I need to jump to most the time. Fix that and it'll be much better.

Mechanical Commando 2 Mechanical Commando 2

Excellent

The combo I personally prefer is the Big Laser, High Caliber Cannon, and the Cooldown Reduction.

Very good game, seems like something I would even be willing to buy. Almost.

I love the graphics, the sound, and the amount of upgrades. I love that the later weapons seem more powerful and the legs/armor get more awesome without breaking the game.

I only have a couple problems with the game.

While there are some shoulder weapons that can ignore the walls, I don't like that unless an enemy is lower in the terrain than you, they can still hit you, wall or no wall. It's not that bad, seeing as how you shouldn't die from just that factor, but it does get annoying.

You should really put medal 'targets' up somewhere for each mission. I have no clue what time I need to beat in the main missions, and almost all of the side missions I can't tell what I need to do to get a medal at all. Do I need to not take damage, is there a certain time, what?

The Nano Repair. It's a good, useful special to have. My only complaint is that either A) it needs to give health based on the type of enemy killed, not a flat amount, or B) it needs to give a bit more than it does - not a lot more, but maybe an additional 5-10 flat/percent hp - when you kill a tank.

I honestly don't see the point of the Legs Rail White. The heaviest I can make the mech is 165, and that's only 5 over the legs Heavy White, and I'm using weapons that really don't go with each other that well, as well as the shield special component, which can be useful, but there are other specials that are just as useful and don't weigh 50 tons. Maybe if some of the weapons weighed more, maybe if the legs didn't hold as much, or if there were some other factor to make being able to hold 200 tons necessary, I could understand the Legs Rail White. As of now, though, they really serve no purpose, other than you must have thought that the leg part was needed to keep the amount of legs the same as the previous sets.

The display in the top left. I know it shows me my health, I know it has a compass, I know it shows me my cooldowns, but for the love of god I want a way to move it or make it disappear. I keep clicking on it when I'm trying to shoot something that happens to have wandered on screen from that direction.

All that being said, this is a very enjoyable game, and I look forward to more games like this.

The Only Thing I Know The Only Thing I Know

Good

Really glad you had more to say after the scene where you burn the WoW games, because before that, you really do come off a little too negative towards games.
What you go on to say after that scene, however, helps me to understand where you're coming from (I hope I understand, at least).

Yes, video games can eat up time that could be better used for other things. Like you said, though, something that can bring together so many people of such diverse backgrounds must have something good going for it.

My only problem is that you pretty much make it seem like video games can be THE cause for the problems you stated you had before you stopped playing them so much, if you play them still at all. While video games CAN contribute, they're rarely THE reason; if that were true, it would be easy to say that movies, t.v. shows, or even advertisements each have the potential to be THE reason behind someone doing something. The truth is, it's always a combination of social forces that cause someone to act the way they do, not just one thing.

That said, I still find this flash to be very well done, and will definitely show it to a few friends that have been spending too much time playing video games, instead of going out to do stuff with the group, or even just hanging out.

lulz

I like the concept of giving the 'Big Red Button' gag a new look, and the music was funny, but the whole point of the 'Big Red Button' is that it's a never ending loop, it's not supposed to end.

Other than that, I LOL'D

:p
